Janet L. Reed, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Wednesday, May 6, 1931 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Elder and Cora Shoffner Wingerd.
Janet was a 1949 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. She was an avid Shippensburg University Basketball fan.
She is survived by one son, Douglas W. (wife Beth) Reed, Oxford, PA; two granddaughters, Amanda (husband David) Sebastiani, Oxford, PA and Abby Reed, Conowingo, MD; two great grandchildren, Emma and Anthony Sebastiani, Oxford, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Reed, Jr. who passed away December 30, 2017; two brothers and four sisters.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 South Penn Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
