Janet E. Finkey, 90, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Monday, December 24, 1923 in Newville, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Blanche Hancock Frey.
Janet was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by three daughters and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin S. Finkey who died August 29, 1996 and a daughter.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor Brian R. Markle and the Rev. Harold E. Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren Family Life Center, 253 East Garfield Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
