Jane F. Witter, 82, of Chambersburg, died on the afternoon of Thursday, January 16, 2014, at her home.
She was born on June 7, 1931, in Walnut Bottom, the only child of the late Austin and Catherine Diller Funston. On February 14, 1949, Jane married Mr. James H. Witter. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1996.
Jane was employed as a Seamstress, at the former Stanley Company, Chambersburg and she also worked as a Telemarketer for the Franklin Shopper for 15 years.
She really enjoyed doing yard work around her home and was a very avid reader. In the past, Jane liked to sew and cook.
Jane is survived by her three children, Michael J. Witter and wife Susan M., of Fayetteville, Krista “Joey” Stouffer and husband Daniel, of St. Thomas, and Gaye Marie Witter of Lemasters; four grandchildren, Erin Witter and wife Michelle, of Arvada, CO, Amy Stouffer of Waynesboro, Ryan Stouffer and wife Kim, of Chambersburg, and Tico Witter of Lemasters; and one great granddaughter, Isabel Witter of Arvada, CO.
Her memorial service will be held at a future date and time. Interment will occur in the Spring Hill Cemetery. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fogelsanger-brickerfuneralhome.com.
