Jane L. Middaugh, 59, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in LifeCare Hospitals of Mechanicsburg.
Born Tuesday, August 11, 1953 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank L. Ridley, Sr., and Hazel L. Devor Handshew of Centerville.
Jane was a graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. She was of the Protestant Faith and worked as a CNA for over 15 years at the Pilgrim House in Shippensburg.
Surviving are three daughters, Melissa S. Mathna, and Mindy K. Crum, both of Carlisle, and Tonya M. Wise of Philadelphia, one step daughter, Stephanie D. Groff of Carlisle, step father, William Handshew of Centerville and step mother, Bonnie Ridley of Shippensburg; four brothers, Larry Devor, Franklin L. Ridley, both of Shippensburg, David H. Handshew of Newville and David Ridley of Carlisle; five sisters, Naomi G. Wickard of Malibu, CA, Catherine A. Savage, Jean Noteboom, both of Carlisle, Kathryn Hawbaker of Shippensburg, and Darlene Brode; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her companion, Jerry Kyle, one brother, Frank L. Ridley Jr., and Samuel A. and Alta Devor who raised Jane as their own.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
