Jane I. Lynch, 66, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born August 8, 1949 in Mt. Union, PA. Jane was a daughter of the late James E. and Mary Louise Benson Branthafer.
Jane retired from the Beistle Company after 25 years of service. After retiring she has been a cook at the Episcopal Home for over 15 years. Jane was a graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She enjoyed cooking, baking, going to flea markets and craft shows, spending time with family and friends, serving everyone, and taking care of the residents at the Episcopal Home in Shippensburg. Jane’s biggest joy in life was making everyone happy, especially her family. Jane’s pride and joy were her grandson and granddaughter. To her closest family and friends she was known as “Toots”.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Lynch, one son, Richard L. “Dick” Lynch, one daughter, Michelle C. “Shelly” Parson, two grandchildren, Joshua T. Lynch and Jenna M. Parson all of Shippensburg, one sister, Nancy (John) Walker of Pleasant Hall, two brothers, Floyd Branthafer of Newville, and John Branthafer of Pleasant Hall, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Markle. Burial will be in the Cleversburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
