James H. Yeingst, Jr., 72, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born Wednesday, November 22, 1944 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late James H. Yeingst, Sr. and Ethylene Myers Short.
James was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. He was an entrepreneur and business owner of various endeavors, including Yeingst Cycle Products.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Diane L. McKelvey Yeingst, two sons, James Lynn Yeingst, Carlisle and James H. (wife Kristi) Yeingst III, Fayetteville; three daughters, Heather R. (husband Chris) Corbet, Doylestown, Holly K. Yeingst, Erie and Tammy C. McCallister, Carlisle; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shippensburg First Church of God with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held prior to the service in the church.
