James L. "Jim" Ferrell

Chambersburg

James L. “Jim” Ferrell, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away the afternoon of Thursday, December 12, 2024 at his home.

He was born on August 1, 1956 in Chambersburg, a son of the late James Phifer and Anna Margaret (Franks) Ferrell.

Jim worked as an equipment operator for Ganoe Paving, Inc. and was a United States Marine Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, loved his dogs, and appreciated spending time with his friends. 

He is survived by two brothers, Charles P. Ferrell and wife Diana of Chambersburg and Larry E. Ferrell of Dry Run; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Travis Griffith; and one sister, Betty Hancock.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bruce Levy officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
