James Franklin Eutzy, Sr., 89, resident of Colonial Courtyard of Tyrone, passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
He was born on January 5, 1934 in Cleversburg, a son of the late James Edward and Reba Jane (Ile) Eutzy, Jr.
James was a proud and hardworking farmer his entire life. He also was a truck driver for eight years for New Penn, Harrisburg. James was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Marie (Myers) Eutzy of Tyrone; four children, Debra K. (Robert) Walters of Huntingdon, James F. (Patricia) Eutzy, Jr. of Huntingdon, Stacy Marie Eutzy of Tyrone, and Scott A. Eutzy of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren, Ricky Eutzy, Joseph Eutzy, Joshua Eutzy, Natasha Garbinsky, Courtney Colon, and Brandon Seager; eight great-grandchildren; and six siblings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert J. Walters III; and eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, PA 17257. Pastor Larry Gipe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Minutemen of the American Legion Post #223. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
