Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Hosfelt, 71, of Newburg, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born August 5, 1950 in Chambersburg, PA. Jackie was a daughter of the late Raymond Gerald “Pete” Varner, Sr. and June A. (Mickey) Varner Johnson.
She was a 1969 graduate of the Big Spring High School. Years ago Jackie worked at AMP in Carlisle and Elmcroft in Shippensburg. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 and the Minnequa Social Club all in Shippensburg.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Hosfelt who passed away January 9, 2002. Three brothers and two sisters are also deceased.
Jackie is survived by one daughter, Jennifer R. Allen of Newburg; one son, Rodney C. Armstrong and his wife Shanese of McConnellsburg; three grandchildren, Jacob M. Allen of Newburg, Damon C. Armstrong and his fiancée Daisy Wenger of Upper Strasburg, and Jackson Hosfelt of Newburg; one sister, Karen Myers of South Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
