Ivan Lance Boring, 31, of Mt. Holly Springs, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at his home.
He was born on February 9, 1987, in Chambersburg, a son of the late William Boring and Marie Catherine Oyer Hughes. Ivan was a 2006 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School and also graduated from YTI with a degree in massage therapy.
For the past seven years, Ivan was working as a Direct Support Professional for Valley Community Services, Newville. Previously, he also worked at Rutters in Shippensburg, as a shift leader.
Ivan loved his work and his clients at Valley Community Services. In his free time he enjoyed trips to the beach, watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, and unbeknownst to many, he was a really good dancer. In recent years, Ivan’s life revolved around his significant other, Brianna, and their two year old son, Chase.
In addition to Brianna and Chase, he is survived by two brothers, Charles and Terry Hughes, both of Mechanicsburg; two aunts; several nieces and nephews; and many more extended family and friends. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents.
His funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Joe Thomas will officiate. Interment will be private. Viewing will be Saturday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family, in support of his son.
