Isabelle Wright

Isabelle D. Wright, 95, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home Inc. since November of 2005 died Monday, August 8, 2011 in the home.

Isabelle was the last of her immediate family. She was born April 23, 1916 in Maple Grove, PA. She was a daughter of the late David and Mary Ellen Fleagle Zeek.

Isabelle retired from food service at Letterkenny Army Depot and prior to working at Letterkenny, she worked at Knouse Foods and Ideal Cleaners, both in Chambersburg.

She was a member of the Upper Strasburg United Methodist Church, and their Reapers Sunday School Class, Upper Strasburg Senior Citizens Center, Women’s Missionary Society and the former Lady Brake “Rebokah” Lodge, Upper Strasburg and was involved in various charitable events.

Surviving are three sons; Richard W. Wright and his wife Mercina, David E. Wright and his wife Joann all of Upper Strasburg and Robert I. Wright, Shippensburg; one daughter, Betty J. Wright, Chambersburg; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis W. Wright who died January 5, 1981, an infant son Buddy who died in July of 1940, two brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Tim Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in the Upper Strasburg Methodist Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
