Irene B. Strohm, 94, of Shippensburg, passed away, Monday, January 23, 2017 at Menno Haven, Chambersburg.
She was born October 12, 1922 in Scotland, Franklin County, PA. Irene was a daughter of the late James Grover and Mary Jane Bishop Henry.
She was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. Irene was a 1940 graduate of the Shippensburg High School and also a graduate of the Carlisle Commercial College. She previously volunteered at the Chambersburg Hospital.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Strohm who died September 26, 1991.
Irene is survived by one son, Leroy J. Strohm of Shippensburg, two daughters, Joanne I. (Larry) Dubbs of Shippensburg, and Joyce E. Sheffield of Chambersburg, four grandchildren, Pamela Brenize, William Dubbs, Stephen Strohm, and Stephanie Wenger, and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Pastor Josh Cartwright. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
