Hugh Andrews “Buddy” Goyt, 73, of Shippensburg, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Thursday, September 11, 1947 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late David T. and Earline Gladys Jacobs Goyt.
Buddy was a 1966 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police in April of 1993 after 23 years of service. Buddy was of the Lutheran Faith.
Buddy was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Ann McMullen Goyt whom he married January 10, 1970; one son, Brad A. (wife Corinne) Goyt; one granddaughter, Addison G. Goyt; one grandson, Tucker J. Goyt, all of Shippensburg; one sister, Pamela Fridinger; and one brother, James D. Goyt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his guardian’s, Uncle Bud and Aunt Flo; paternal grandmother, Alta B. Goyt; and two brothers.
Services and burial will be private.
