Henry A. Diehl, 91, a resident of Menno Haven, formerly of Woods Road, Shippensburg, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the home.
Born February 10, 1921 in Pleasant Hall, he was a son of the late Clyde S. and Ella Claire Beltz Diehl.
Henry was a member of Hope Reformed Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg and retired from SKF Industries. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian E. Horst Diehl who died July 2, 1993 and one son, Merle A. Diehl who died March 28, 2012. Two grandchildren, seven brothers and one sister are also deceased.
Henry is survived by two sons, Donald E. Diehl and his wife Joyce of Orrstown, Roy E. Diehl and his wife Bobbie of Seminole, FL, one daughter, Lois A. Beam and her husband Robert of Chambersburg, five sisters, Pearl Mellinger and Eleanor Seibert both of Shippensburg, Mary Groce, Lottie Stouffer, and Jane Rine all of Orrstown, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg. Burial will be in Pleasant Hall Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
