Helen “Pauline” Willis, 87, of Marco Circle, Shippensburg, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born September 12, 1924 in Greencastle, PA, she was a daughter of the late Tell P. and Annie Grace Hartman Cordell.
Pauline was a member of the Newburg First Church of God. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Pauline was a devoted mother and loved her children and family very much.
Surviving are four sons, Roger L. Willis and wife Tina of Colorado Springs, Co, Glenn R. Willis of Mechanicsburg, Samuel E. Willis and wife Carol and Charles S. Willis, all of Shippensburg, one daughter, Betty Ann Willis, of Shippensburg, one grandson, Scott R. Willis of Colorado Springs, Co, three step granddaughters, Kim O’Neal of Scotts Plain, NJ, Barbara Parks of Fayetteville, and Amber Rosenberry of Newville, two step grandsons, Richard E. Hunter of Lancaster, and Scott Rosenberry of Dry Run, and one step great granddaughter, Natalie McNew of Newville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Willis who died April 26, 1985, one daughter, Nancy J. Gilbert who died June 15, 1985, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Philip Steele officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.
