Helen E. Wadel, 87, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in her home.
Born April 28, 1924 in Indiana County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Mike and Annie Potocny Recek.
Helen retired from Food Services at Shippensburg University and before that worked at the former Marden Clothing Company for over 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur D. Wadel who died February 29, 1996.
Helen is survived by a niece, Isabel Watson of Falling Waters, WV, and a nephew, Leroy Wingert of Mechanicsburg.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Elder Leroy Wingert. There will be no viewing or visitation.
