Hazel C. Shields, 57, of Chestnut Grove Road, Shippensburg, passed away after a brief battle with cancer, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in her home.
Born April 22, 1954 in Fannettsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late William Samuel and Bertha Elizabeth Geyer Parks.
Hazel attended the Messiah United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandson Damien, and she enjoyed her puppy dog Austin and crocheting.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Ronald J. Shields , a son Rocky E. Gossert, and a grandson Damien L. Gossert, all of Shippensburg; two sisters Barbara Crouse of Fannettsburg and Debra Middlekauff of Shippensburg; a nephew Charles Middlekauff, of Shippensburg and two nieces Kasandra Crouse of Fannettsburg and Melissa Crouse of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Harry E. Parks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home on Monday.
