Hazel G. Caudill, 95, of Shippensburg, went to her heavenly reward on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Menno Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation, Chambersburg.
Born on October 30, 1914, in Shade Gap, the daughter of the late Sherman and Ethel Shoop Vaughn.
On April 29, 1944 Hazel married Mr. Marion “Red” Caudill in Taunton, MA.
Hazel was employed at the Stanley Company, Chambersburg, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marion; two sons, Donald (Connie Kendig) Caudill and Robert (Linda Runshaw) Caudill, both of Shippensburg; one daughter, Arlene (Paul) Brown of Chambersburg; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Mongul United Brethren Church. Pastor Ken Waggoner, Jr. and Rev. Rocky Spear will officiate. Interment will be in the Mongul Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services at church on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 3544 N. Progress Ave. Suite #205 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
