Harvey A. Diehl, 91, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1929 in Shippensburg, PA. Harvey was a son of the late Harvey N. and Anna (Morrison) Diehl.
He was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God and belonged to the Men’s Upper Room Sunday School class. Harvey loved farming and was a third generation farmer on the Diehl family farm. He enjoyed hunting, going to auctions, talking with neighbors, reading, and most of all spending time with his family. Harvey was a member of the Tanglewood Hunting Camp.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence V. (Naugle) Diehl, who passed away January 9, 2017. Two brothers, Edgar Diehl and Mervin Diehl, and three sisters, Janet Mowery, Anna Noel, and Martha Minor, are also deceased.
Harvey is survived by two daughters, Bonnie L. Diehl, and Darlene A. Mathna and her husband Richard, all of Shippensburg; one grandson, Justin Davidson and his wife Kristi of Dillsburg; two great-grandsons, Reese Davidson and Connor McCombs; one sister Nancy Garman, of Shippensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Shippensburg First Church of God. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Rogers and Pastor Gary Hornbaker. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the church.
