Harry Bert Shoop, Jr. 84, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 26, 2024 at his daughter’s home.
Born Wednesday, September 27, 1939 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Harry Bert and Elva Catherine Baer Shoop, Sr.
Harry was a member of the former Mongul United Brethren Church. He retired from Charles E. Brake Excavating Company, Chambersburg as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, the Minnequa Social Club, and the Hub City Club, all in Shippensburg.
He is survived by one daughter, Dianna May (Roger) Douglas, Shippensburg; one grandson, Brandon M.A. Henderson, Shippensburg; one granddaughter, Shayna B. Baughman, Bolivia, NC; two great-granddaughters, Brynley N. and Brielle S. Henderson, both of Shippensburg; and one sister, Joyce Runshaw, Shippensburg.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
