Harry Alfred Mohn, 94, a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the home.
Harry was born March 5, 1921 in Mowersville. He was a son of the late Bryan and Mary Coleman Mohn.
Harry was a life member of the Newburg United Methodist Church and was a past Sunday School Superintendent. He retired from both farming and the Steam Plant at Shippensburg State College. Harry was also an Inspector on the PA Turnpike. He was a life member of IOOF Lodge # 562, Newburg, a member of PA Farmers Association, and a Past Director of CV CO-OP. Harry was a 1939 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Harriet Sollenberger Mohn who died April 25, 2007.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Lou Mohn Emig of Selbyvillle, DE, two grandchildren, Bradley Lynn (wife Mary) Cornman of Boiling Springs, and Anita Marie (husband Timothy) Weaver of Shippensburg, five great-grandchildren, Ashley E. (Husband Margo) Weaver Morales of Shippensburg, Katelyn N. Cornman, Lindsey M. Cornman, Molly E. Good, and Isaac K. Good all of Boiling Springs, one great-great granddaughter, Liliaynna Grace Morales of Shippensburg, and one sister, Marie Kendig of Orrstown.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Newburg United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Steve P. Salisbury, Rev. John A. Ile, Jr., and Rev. Floyd Sollenberger, Jr. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on hour prior to the services in church on Saturday.
