Harry M. Eyer, 92, of Orrstown, passed away the evening of Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on June 19, 1929 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Howard and Pearl (Mackey) Eyer.
Harry worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad before eventually retiring as a toll collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Harry loved farming and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Hub City Club, Shippensburg. Harry was also a United States Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his three sons, Stephen H. (MaryEllen) Eyer, Samuel A. Eyer, and Jesse D. (Annette) Eyer; one daughter, Jennie L. (Ronald) DeShong; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bonita Henry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean W. (Kohr) Eyer, who passed away on December 18, 2015. Also preceding him in death are two siblings, Jean Green and Richard Fritz.
Private graveside services will be held at a future date and time, in the Methodist Cemetery, Upper Strasburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
