Harold Lee Wilson, 76, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital’s Emergency Room.
Born November 14, 1935 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Harry C. Wilson who was killed in action during World War II and the late Dorothy M. Zimmerman Wilson.
Harold worked at the former Cressler’s Fruit Market for over 34 years and later worked for First Aid Services until his retirement. He was a member of the Orrstown Lodge # 262 Free and Accepted Masons and Valley Forest # 145 Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He enjoyed his antique cars, fishing, hunting, and wintering in Florida. Harold was a 1953 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School and attended the Newburg First Church of God.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Lea Wilson who died April 19, 1979, and a brother, Carroll Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doris Jane Reese Wilson and on April 6th in would have been “55 years”, two sons, Douglas Lee Wilson of Shippensburg, and Dennis Harold Wilson and his wife Robin of Fayetteville, three grandchildren, Kathleen Renae, Harry Jacob, and Bailey Morgan Wilson, two brothers, Larry Wilson of Shippensburg, and Michael Wilson of Virginia, an uncle, Owen Wilson of Chambersburg and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Richard Reese. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the services with Masonic services conducted at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
