Harold W. Shetter, 72, a resident of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, entered Glory Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born August 31, 1942 in Shippensburg. Harold was a son of the late Delbert L. and Katherine E. Gettel Shetter.
Harold retired in 1995 from SKF Industries where he was a process operator. He was a member of the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg and the Cumberland Valley Antique Engine and Machinery Association. He enjoyed going to public sales which inspired his sons to become auctioneers, showing his collection of John Deere tractors, camping, southern gospel music, buying and selling anything, raising beef cattle, farming, local scrap hauler, going to the cabin, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Harold’s favorite question to everyone was “What’s New”.
Harold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol K. Dubbs Shetter, three children, Kelly A., Terry L. (wife Tiffiny), and Benjamin D. Shetter, three grandchildren, Kendall L., Braxton I. and Sterling W. Shetter all of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Lloyd T. Zimmerman, Rev. Richard Reed, and Mr. Dale Lehman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Rock Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg.
