Harold Dana “Perk” Ile, 72, of Newburg, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 26, 1947 in Chambersburg, PA. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, A. Dana and Lois Jean Garman Ile.
Harold retired from Domestic Pump. He attended Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg. Harold was a life member of the Shippensburg Fish & Game Association. He was a 1965 graduate of the Chambersburg High School. Harold enjoyed hunting especially groundhogs, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Janice L. Chamberlin Ile; two daughters, Elaine R. Swartz and her husband Daryl, of Orrstown, and Ronda S. Brisbois and her husband James, of Gilbertsville; five grandchildren, Carly Kline and her husband Sean, Tucker Swartz and Alec, Colin and Luke Brisbois; three great-grandchildren, Chace, Baylee and Rhylee Kline; one brother, Gary W. Ile and his wife Janet, of Lancaster; one sister, Darlene G. Coover and her husband Ronald, of Shippensburg; a number of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Funeral services and burial were private.
A celebration of life/memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Township Park, Pavilion #2, 218 Shippensburg Road, Newburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Kimberley Wadlington. Dress will be casual.
Those in attendance are asked to observe the recommendations pertaining to reducing the potential spread of Covid-19; wearing masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing as much as possible.
