Harold R. “Dick” Baker, Sr., 67, of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Saturday, October 13, 2012, at his home, with his family at his side.
He was born on November 4, 1944, in Carlisle, a son of the late Harold L. and Laura Clepper Baker.
Harold worked as a truck driver for 20 years for Carlisle Carrier, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, carpentry, and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. McHenry Baker; four children, Harold R. (Candy) Baker, Jr. of Shippensburg, Crystal L. (fiance’ Kristopher Craig) Devinney of Shippensburg, Jeffery A. Baker, Sr., of Shippensburg, and Tonya J. Neil, of Hagerstown; two sisters; one brother; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Michael McClintock will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
