H. William “Bill” Bolen, 58, of Newburg, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the home of his mother.
He was born April 28, 1955 in Carlisle, PA. Bill was a son of Betty M. Bailey Bolen of Newburg and the late Harry R. Bolen.
Bill worked at Squires Appliances in both Shippensburg and Chambersburg. He was a member of Big Spring Lodge #361 F.&A.M., Harrisburg Consistory, Sons of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg, North American Hunting Club, and a life member of the NRA. Bill was a 1973 graduate of Big Spring High School.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Nicolas W. Bolen and his wife Jamilyn of College Station, TX, one daughter, Karen E. Krupa and her husband Jimmy of Midlothian, TX, two sisters, Nancy L. Shenk and her husband Earl, and Darlene J. Smith and her companion Laverne Smith all of Newburg, five grandchildren, Peyton, Luke, and Holden Krupa of Midlothian, TX, Lily and Loralei Bolen of College Station, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
Masonic services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert W. Baldwin. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to his sister, Nancy L. Shenk, 1820 Mountain Road, Newburg, PA 17240.
