Grace Adams

Grace V. Adams, 88, of Shippensburg, departed this life in the early morning hours of Friday, October 23, 2015, at her home.

She was born on August 25, 1927, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Guy and Jeanette Henderson Varner. She was the widow of Harold G. Adams who preceded her in death on March 16, 1996.

Grace worked at and retired from the Beistle Co., after 25 years, and then afterward worked at the Best Western, Carlisle, where she worked in housekeeping.

Grace is survived by her sister, Cordia Bechtel of Hummelstown and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral home, Inc., Shippensburg. Grace’s niece, Barb Gruver, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
