Gordon W. Neidigh, 62, of Shippensburg, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his daughter’s home in Newburg. Born November 23, 1949 in McCrea, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Russell and Mary Miller Neidigh.Gordon was a social member of the F.O.E Post # 1299, Carlisle, Minnequa Social Club, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 and Durff-Kuhn VWF Post # 6168 all in Shippensburg. He was an avid NASCAR Fan, loved hunting, fishing and attending flea markets at the William’s Grove SpeedwayIn addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Lester, and Samuel Neidigh, Sr., and two sisters, Edna Rife, and Cora Bonewitz. Gordon is survived by two daughters, Kimberly S. Myers and her husband Ray of Newburg, and Janice L. Jones and her husband Eric of Shippensburg, four grandchildren, Justin M. Myers and his wife Melissa and Tyler G. Myers, all of Newburg, Erica L. Jones and Brady J. Jones both of Shippensburg, two great grandsons, Clayton W. and Carter M. Myers both of Newburg, four sisters, Dorothy Marpoe of Newville, Mildred Neidigh of Shippensburg, Pearl Ditmer of Carlisle, and Irene Fry of Shermansdale.A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Shippensburg Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Todd A. Risser officiating. Burial will be private.
