Gloria J. Johnson, 70, of Orrstown, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born on June 17, 1939, in Huntingdon County, a daughter of the late John and Dora Goshorn Robinson.
On September 17, 1958, Gloria married Mr. Clair S. Johnson in Hagerstown, MD.
Gloria was a self employed, in home care giver, for the last fifteen years. Prior to that, she worked as a cook, at the Chambersburg Hospital, for ten years.
During her spare time, Gloria liked to sew, read, and do puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clair; three daughters, Kaye D. Martin of Chambersburg, Karen F. (Denver) Black of Newburg, and Sandy M. (Jeff) Keating of TN; three sons, John A. (Melody) Johnson of Fayetteville, Steve C. Johnson of Orrstown, and Galen L. (Donna) Johnson of Shippensburg; two brothers, Theron and Chester Robinson; two sisters, Audrey Coons and Maxine Horn; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Althea O’Donnell.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
