Gloria J. Coy, 79, of Chambersburg, formally of Cleversburg, passed away the evening of Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation & Wellness Center.
She was born on April 24, 1944 in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, a daughter of the late James E. and Reba J. (Ile) Eutzy. She married Gerald E. Coy, Sr. on January 27, 1963. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2016.
Gloria was a tremendously skilled seamstress and in her working years was employed by the Stanley Company. She enjoyed ceramics and bowling, and in her later years took an interest in genealogy. Gloria was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church.
She is survived by four children, Gerald E. (Gwen) Coy, Jr., Carmen (Greg) Kelley, Melody (Allen) Walker, and Bradley (Mindy) Coy; 11 grandchildren, Tristan (Sarah) Lehman, Hayden Coy, Jacey (Robert) Robison, Jordan Walker, MacKenna (Marshal) Witmer, Brady Coy, Victoria (Craig) Dennis, Seth Walker, Dylan Rihel, Evan Coy, and Connor Coy; ten great-grandchildren, Wren Lehman, Cora Robison, Oaklyn Dennis, Lennox Coy, Kaiden Robison, Navy Lehman, Camden Witmer, Bexlee Coy, Gemma Dennis, and Olive Lehman; and seven siblings, Pearl Plasterer, Martha Ott, James Eutzy, Grace Russell, Terry Eutzy, Donald Eutzy, and Sam Eutzy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Lula Hutchison, Paul Gipe, Charles “Buck” Eutzy, George Eutzy, Margaret DeStefano, Myrtle Yohe, and John Eutzy.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Pastor James O. Bolich will officiate. There will be no public viewing.
