Glenn L. McMullen, 76, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2024 at his home.
Born Sunday, August 24, 1947 in Shippensburg, Franklin County, he was a son of the late Noah J. and Nancy A. Naugle McMullen.
Glenn was a 1965 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He served in the United States Air Force, and the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Glenn worked at Ingersoll Rand and later retired from Volvo Construction Equipment in Shippensburg, PA.
He was a member of the Hub City Club, Minnequa Social Club, the Loyal Order of Moose # 2500, and the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, all in Shippensburg; he was a member of the Amvets Post # 224, and the Marine Corps League, both in Chambersburg; and the Harry Lackhove American Legion Post # 517, and the Loyal Order of Moose # 1790, both in Mercersburg, PA.
He is survived by one daughter, Courtney Hickey, Lacedale, MS; three brothers, Kenneth E. (Judy) McMullen, Shippensburg, Leonard McMullen, Nashua, NH, and Noah McMullen, Jr., Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Edith Shindledecker, Japan; four grandchildren, Jack, Noah, Aiden, and Charlotte Hickey; one step daughter, Melissa Robertson, Lacedale, MS; two step grandchildren, Kyle Robertson, and Kiera Greene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin, Leroy, and Robert McMullen; seven sisters, Vivian Zimmerman, Leah Whitacre, Maryetta Tosten, Freda McMullen, Evelyn Bock, Betty Suders, and Dorothy Adams; two nephews, Nathan Hockenberry, and Galen Wilson; and two nieces, Debra Wilson and Lori Wilson; and one great niece, Nicole Wilson.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, with the Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil officiating. A visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
