Glenn J. Doyle, Sr.

Glenn J. Doyle, Sr., 88, of Magnolias Memory Care in Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

He was born on November 16, 1936 in Newville, a son of the late Archie J. and Ida A. Jumper Doyle. He married Janet L. Bless on March 21, 1958 in the Ridge Church, Shippensburg. 

Glenn was a member of the Ridge Church. He was employed at Hockersmith Grocery Store, S.D. James Motors, auxiliary police force, and Letterkenny Missile Shop, from which he retired after 32 years of employment. He loved working on his 1978 Ford truck, going golfing, and mowing his lawn with pride. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet L. Doyle, with whom he was married to for 66 years; one daughter, Kathy Doyle-Lehman and husband Jerry of St. Thomas; one son, Glenn Doyle, Jr. and wife Beth of Shippensburg; granddaughter, Brittany Greene and husband Corey of Pittsburgh; great-grandson, Sullivan Greene; one brother, Fred Doyle and wife Brenda of Shippensburg; brother-in-law, Paul Kelley of Shippensburg; sister-in-law, Janice Doyle of Shippensburg; son-in-law, Jeff Reese of Newburg; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Doyle Reese; granddaughter, Tiffany Reese; four sisters, Evelyn Kelley, Esther Kelley, Kearon Pugh, and Silvia Jean Doyle; one brother, Jay Doyle; and brother-in-law, Anthony Kelley. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ridge Church with Pastor Leon Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Ridge Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
