Glenda M. Ashway, 85, of Newburg, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
Born Thursday, April 30, 1936 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Miriam Catherine Finkey.
Glenda was a 1954 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She retired as a cost accountant from the Beistle Company in Shippensburg with 32 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur R. Ashway, whom she married May 23, 1954; one daughter, Pamela S. Ambrose, Pittsburgh; two close grandchildren, Penelope Pugh, Shippensburg, and Travis Pugh, Fayetteville; and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and William Ashway; and one sister, Nancy Coover.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
