Gladys V. Ritter, age 83, of Chambersburg, passed away May 15, 2010 at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 16, 1926, in New Franklin, PA., to Louis and Martha (Calimer) Ritter. She was married to Jay O. Baer, who preceded her in death. She attended the Greenvillage Church of God, Greenvillage, PA. She lived in many locations as her husband was a mechanic and welder for a national pipe line company. After his retirement from the pipe line company, they settled in Kingman, AZ., where she was part owner of the Shooting Star Cafe’. She served as a cook, hostess, and waitress. After her husband’s death, she returned to the Chambersburg area. She is survived by her sisters, Pauline Cramer and Janet Hartman, both of Chambersburg, and a brother, Kenneth Ritter (husband of Helen) of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert G. and Glenn E. Ritter, sister, Edith Ritter Hafer, and half sister, Catherine Calimer. Burial arrangements are private and handled by the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc. of Shippensburg.
