Gladys Louis Ott, 83, of Shippensburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home.

Born Thursday, October 7, 1937 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Kathleen Wolf Adams.

Gladys was of the Presbyterian Faith. She was a cook at the Treat in Shippensburg for many years and cooking was her true passion.

She is survived by one son, Dennis L. (Cindy) Ott, Newville; one daughter, Lori J. Witmer and her companion Robert Barr, Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Justin (Carrie) Gallo, Shippensburg, Deven (Sadie) Ott, Hanover, and John Witmer, Shippensburg, Maranda Fisher, Shippensburg and Madison Fisher, Newville; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Barry) Chestnut, Carlisle, and Tuppy Adams, Indiana; and one brother, Richard (Butch) Adams, Carlisle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin J. Ott who passed away February 20, 1999; two sons, Daniel Ott and Kenneth Ott, Sr.; and three grandsons, Kenneth Ott, Jr., Travis Ott, and Tyler Ott.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
