Gladys P. Myers Ehrhart, 86, of Orrstown, went to meet her Heavenly Father and beloved husband Bob in the afternoon of May 28, 2024.
Born Thursday, January 6, 1938 near Roxbury, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Myers and Viola Mackey Myers.
She was a 1956 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
Gladys married the love of her life Robert O. “Bob” Ehrhart on August 25, 1956, and enjoyed over 62 years of marriage until his passing on December 16, 2018.
In her early years before children, she worked at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg. When her children were born, she became a stay at home Mom and babysitter for neighboring children. Her children grew up with a lot of extra playmates.
After her children were grown, she pursued a few cleaning jobs until she decided she had worked long enough. Gladys enjoyed her flowers and gardening, and always had plenty of fruits and vegetables canned or frozen.
Gladys attended The Orrstown Ebenezer Church of God, where she served as treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by three children, Tina Stouffer and husband Kirby, Pleasant Hall, Joe Ehrhart and wife Annebelle, Doylesburg, and Samuel Ehrhart and wife Nabamita, Winchester, VA; three grandchildren, Dawn Bowersox and husband Jason, and their children, Brandt, Riley, Ari, Kyleigh, and Braylon; Natosha Riley and her children, Eric, Annebelle, and Damien, and Sohan Biswas Ehrhart; and one great grandson, Kasen Ehrhart.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Myers Ehrhart, and one grandson, Casey Ehrhart.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with The Rev. Daniel Reed and The Rev. Timothy Bash officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Monday, from 5-7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, in the funeral home.
