Gladys V. Cramer, 94, of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born August 20, 1920 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County. Gladys was a daughter of the late Mathias J. and Helen M. Tritt Heller.
She was the owner and operator of the former Cramer’s Music House in Shippensburg. Gladys was the organist at Christ United Methodist Church, First Church of God, and Memorial Lutheran Church all in Shippensburg and then finished at St. Thomas United Methodist Church. She taught organ lessons to many of the local players. Gladys was a member of the American Guild of Organists, Shippensburg Historical Society, and the Tritt Family Research Group. She attended the Shippensburg Church of the Nazarene. Gladys was a 1938 graduate of the Shippensburg High School.
Gladys is survived by her husband, J. Calvin Cramer, one son, David L. (Patricia) Cramer, and one daughter, Jeanette C. Miller all of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul Crawford and The Rev. Todd Risser. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Saturday in the funeral home.
