Gladys Adams

Gladys L. Adams, 82, a resident of Manor Care, Chambersburg, and formerly of Lurgan Ave. Shippensburg died Friday, April 8, 2011 in Manor Care.

Born October 20, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Russell M. and Gladys G. Chestney Hill.

She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed going to yard sales.

Surviving are one son; Gary Lee Adams and his wife Fay, Fayetteville, two daughters; Patricia Lee Kennedy and her husband Kirk, Chambersburg, and Carol Lee Franzwick and her husband Donald, Fayetteville, one sister Shirley VanSchaik, Wilmington DE, six grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George W. H. “Bob” Adams II who died January 3, 1998 and one brother, Russell Hill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. James O. Bolich officiating. Burial will be private in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday, in the funeral home.
