Gerald Baer

Gerald L. “Yogi” Baer, 83, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Friday, March 25, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg.
He was born on December 3, 1938 in Orrstown, a son of the late Wilbur and Catherine (Whisler) Baer.
Yogi was a member of the Minnequa Social Club 375 and Hub City Club, both of Shippensburg. He loved watching NASCAR and listening to country music.
He is survived by his four siblings, Nancy A. Huber, Charles E. Baer, Wayne A. Baer, and Doris J. (Darwin) Kell.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Rev. William Kauffman will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Hospice Care, 1070 Stouffer Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
