George W. Stache, 59, of Chambersburg, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at his home.Born February 22, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Frank W. and Laura B. “Dolly” Furry Stache.George attended Chambersburg area schools and earned his GED. He was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran. George worked for T.B. Woods Orchards for six years and then for T.B. Woods Inc. for more than 30 years where he was a security guard.George liked to attend truck and tractor pulls and enjoyed hunting in his earlier life. He was a life member of the NRA and a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg. He was an extraordinary donor to many serviceman and children’s organizations.In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne E. Stache who died in the spring of 2007.He is survived by his sister, Betty B. White and her husband Drew of Chambersburg, and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul K. Hauk. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
