George Holtry

George F. Holtry, 88, of Dream Highway, Newburg, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in the Orrstown Personal Care Home.
He was born February 5, 1925 in Shippensburg. George was a son of the late William and Curvey Myers Holtry.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot and also was a self employed farmer. George was a member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Ross, Bruce, and Leslie Holtry, and five sisters, Edith Wright, Mabel Vaughn, Edna Hoch, Grace Washinger, and Mary Jane Pisle.
George is survived by his wife of 59 years Dorothy Crider Holtry, and one sister, Jean Flewelling of Newville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Ridge Church of the Brethren at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Earl F. Stovall and The Rev. Harold E. Yeager. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in church Saturday morning.
