Garnet Rosenberry

Garnet L. Rosenberry, 88, of Mountain Road, Orrstown, died Friday, March 8, 2013 at home.

Garnet was born April 26, 1924 in Horse Valley. He was a son of the late Roy J. and Dora Horn Rosenberry.

Garnet was a member of the Upper Strasburg Bible Church. He retired from the Garnet Rosenberry & Son Sawmill. Garnet was a life member of NRA.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy V. Hoover Rosenberry; two sons, James L. Rosenberry, and David L. Rosenberry and his wife Jeanne of Upper Strasburg; one daughter, Judy A. Styers and her husband Bruce of Newburg; one brother, John C. Rosenberry of Fannettsburg; one sister, Shirley Rosenberry of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Rebekah Travis and her husband David and Michael DeMoss both of Virginia Beach, VA; William DeMoss and his wife Angela Rosenberry of Lurgan, Dustin Rosenberry of Terre Haute, IN, and Jennifer Rosenberry of Rochester, NY; three great grandchildren, Maximus Travis of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kai and Felix James Rosenberry both of Rochester, NY; two step great grandchildren, Sierra Hoover and Dalton Mowers; and a step great-great grandson Brayden Hoover.

In addition to his parents Garnet was preceded in death by five brothers, Alfred, Leonard, Jay, C. Guy, and Glenn Rosenberry, and two sisters, Gladys Miller and Beatrice Johnston.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dwight E. Munson, Jr. Burial will be in the Keefer Cemetery, Horse Valley. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
