G. Melvin Baker

G. Melvin Baker, 97, of Shippensburg, passed away the afternoon of Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on Saturday, April 19, 1924 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Roy and Pearl (Barnes) Baker.
Melvin was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, having served as a board member for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Baker; one son, Jerry M. Baker; and one granddaughter, Stephanie L. Baker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Baker, Robert L. Baker, and Rev. Paul B. Baker; and one sister, Winona Strike.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church with The Rev. Garry L. Culler officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A viewing will be held the evening before on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
