Fredith Louise Diehl

Fredith Louise Diehl, 96, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Celebration Villa of Shippensburg.

She was born on Sunday, July 29, 1928 in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, a daughter of the late Roy M. and Mary Catherine Snoke Davidson.

Fredith was a lifetime member of the Newburg United Methodist Church, where she participated in their Bible Class. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and babysitting. 

She is survived by four children, Paul E. (Linda M.) Diehl of Shippensburg, Larry W. Diehl of Shippensburg, Dorothy L. (Kim H.) Wenger of Newburg, and Nancy J. (David C.) Forrester of Greencastle; nine grandchildren, Anthony (Amy) Diehl, Nicholas Diehl, Angela (Donald) Varner, Eric Diehl, Michael Wenger, Julie (Clarence) Evans, Bryan (Gloria) Forrester, Jeremy Forrester, and Austin W. Diehl; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Kenneth W. Davidson of New Oxford. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Diehl who passed away on June 8, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dana L. Diehl; two sisters; and three brothers. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Brophy officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
