Frederick Wilt

Frederick Lee Wilt, 77, of Orrstown, died on the morning of Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at his daughter’s home.

He was born on February 13, 1938, in West Virginia, a son of the late Keith G. and Ruth Wilt. Frederick married Barbara Jane Watson on April 25, 1984 in Baltimore, MD. She preceded him in death, just twenty days ago, on January 1, 2015.

Frederick worked as a Steel Worker for Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore. He was great at figuring out how things worked and repairing them. Frederick was always handy around the house. He liked to travel with his wife, going to Cancun, Bermuda, and Jamaica, and also camping was a favorite pastime. Frederick will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by eight children; seventeen grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents and wife of thirty years, Frederick was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn and his brother, Mooney.

His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be private. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday, at the funeral home.
