Frederick A. Kalif, 96, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at UPMC Carlisle.
Born Tuesday, November 20, 1923 in North Westport, MA, he was a son of the late Alexander and Sophia Yarid Kalif.
Frederick was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army. He retired from the United States Postal Service in Piscataway, NJ. Frederick faithfully attended the Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Alexander James Kalif, Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ella M. Fowler Kalif who died January 27, 2011
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth M. Waggoner, Jr. officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church, 308 South Queen Street, P.O. Box 363 Shippensburg, PA 17257 or to the Alzheimer’s Association 3544 North Progress Ave., Suite 205 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
