Fred H. Myers, 66, of Tullahoma, TN, and formerly of Shippensburg, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home.
Born December 19, 1948 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Harold “Duke” and Lois I. Mellott Myers.
Fred was a 1967 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High. He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran from McDill Air Force Base in Tampa FL. where he worked as a mechanic with 22 years of service. Fred presently owned and operated Freddie’s Appliance Center in Tampa FL. He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg, and an avid sports fan.
Surviving are his wife, Elena Rodriguez Myers of Tullahoma, TN, four daughters; Stacey (husband Steve) O’Donnell, Kelli (companion Steve Bender) Bowermaster, all of Shippensburg, Shannon Long of Virginia Beach, VA, and Melisa Myers, of Anchorage, AK, two step-sons; Leandro Martinez, and Jesse Paez, two step-daughters; Elena and Yvonne Martinez, all of Tampa, FL., two brothers, Robert Myers, of Livermore, CA., and Edward Myers, of Del Rio, TN, and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with The Rev. D. Alan Mathna officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home.
