Fred Dyarman

Fred W. Dyarman, 88, of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

Born Thursday, December 5, 1935, he was a son of the late Bruce D. and Ethel (Stevens) Dyarman. He married Peggy A. Killian on Sunday, October 31, 1954.

Fred was a self-employed farmer for the majority of his life. He also worked for Agway as a heating and cooling service technician for 28 years where he eventually retired from in 1998. Fred was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church for over 82 years and was a member of the Cumberland Valley Lodge #315 F. & A.M for 50 years.

In his free time, he liked to hunt and enjoyed woodworking. More than anything else, Fred loved to mow grass. He took great pride in his lawn care and had fond memories of taking his children and grandchildren on lawnmower rides.

In addition to his wife of 69 years, Peggy, he is survived by two sons, Rick Dyarman of Newville and Steven Dyarman of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Bridgette White of Kentucky, Samantha Jones of Augusta, Georgia, Brooke Brown of Newville, and Bradley Dyarman of Carlisle; four great-grandchildren, Anastacia “Stacey” Williams of Kentucky, Ryan Lebo of Newville, Briggs Brown of Newville, and Owen Dyarman of Carlisle; three sisters, Fredith E. Dyarman, Shirley L. Lynch, and Dora J. Sanders all of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Dyarman and a sister, Alice Crider.

Fred’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., in Shippensburg. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Blanca Baker officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be private.
