Franklin J. Wilson, 88, of Orrstown, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 in ManorCare, Chambersburg.
He was born March 18, 1928 in Blairs Mills, PA. Franklin was a son of the late James Joseph, Sr. and Verda Marie Fortney Wilson.
He retired from General Motors in Pontiac Michigan, working there for over 37 years. Franklin was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Roosevelt Masonic Lodge #510 F&AM, Pontiac, Michigan. Franklin was a life member of the NRA and a member of the American Legion in Chambersburg.
Franklin is survived by four sons, James W. (Connie) Wilson of Orrstown, Gary E. Wilson, and Steven R. Wilson both of Michigan and Robert E. Wilson of Iowa, one daughter, Helen Marie Rojas of Michigan, one brother, Sidney Wilson, Jr. of Chambersburg, three sisters, Clara Beltz and Marcella Jane Wireman both of Orrstown, and Kathryn Beltz of South Mountain, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Ann Travelstead Wilson. Two sisters and two brothers are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg with military honors following. Officiating will be The Rev. George Strayer. Burial will be private. Masonic services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and a viewing will be held at 2 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
